The Water
Miracle Manor sits atop Miracle Hill, where health-giving, naturally hot and cold mineral springs were discovered over 100 years ago. At the top of this hill, closest to the source, Miracle Manor provides its guests with unlimited access to two sparkling pools filled with this natural wonder. Emerging from the ground at 155 degrees Fahrenheit and cooled to 90 degrees in the swimming pool and 104 degrees in the soaking tub, the water's heat plays an important role in balancing the body’s systems and allowing the skin to absorb its nourishing minerals.
Among core spa traditions, soaking in mineral water restores and revitalizes the body. Known as Balneotherapy, the practice has long been used to improve circulation, strengthen the immune system, and relieve pain and stress. The unique composition of this mineral water is world famous for its therapeutic and mood-enhancing properties: low in sulfur and rich in lithium. Once immersed in our waters, you’ll experience a level of nourishment and rejuvenation never felt before.
The tap water comes from the local cold mineral spring. It’s not only safe to drink, but it was voted best drinking water in the US two years in a row. It contains healthy minerals and is also alkaline. By drinking the waters and/or taking the many types of baths (hot, cold), mineral hot spring enthusiasts report improved health in the joints, skin, and other parts of the body, including brain function and reduced stress.
Energy Vortex
Did you know that Desert Hot Springs is often regarded as an energy vortex? Here, a rare convergence of natural forces—tectonic fault lines, geothermal mineral waters, mountain alignments, wind currents, and abundant solar energy—creates a uniquely powerful and restorative environment. The underground aquifer is naturally sustained by these fault lines, while the surrounding mountains, including the majestic San Jacinto Mountains and San Bernardino Mountains, channel vital runoff into the valley below—an elegant example of nature in perfect harmony.
The elements are especially alive here. The wind, at times gentle and at others intense, carries a purifying energy that clears and renews. The desert sun, rising in the East and setting in the West, bathes the land in warmth, vitality, and a deeply restorative light for which the region is renowned.
To fully experience these energies, one must slow down—quiet the mind, deepen awareness, and become present to the subtle yet powerful rhythms of the land. Here, you have the rare opportunity to immerse yourself in natural mineral-rich hot springs, allowing direct connection with the Earth’s healing waters and a profound sense of restoration.
For centuries, places like this have drawn seekers of healing, clarity, and inner peace. Ancient cultures recognized these lands as sacred, journeying to them for ceremony, renewal, and spiritual connection. In many Native American traditions, such sites were tended by medicine people who understood the healing power of the four elements—Earth, Fire, Water, and Air—and their ability to restore balance within the body and spirit.
Originally established in the 1950s as one of the first spa destinations in the area, this historic property has been thoughtfully reimagined as a human-centered luxury retreat. Perched atop Miracle Hill, it offers a rare sense of intimacy and exclusivity within the Coachella Valley—where nature, history, and wellness converge to create a truly transformative experience.
Our Mission
To support individuals on their path to wellness through relaxation, connection, and rejuvenation through a healing energy retreat.
Our Values
New Luxury: We believe the concept of luxury is being redefined, with an increasing focus on space, nature, silence, time for oneself, and discreet service, while still paying close attention to detail.
Global Wellbeing: We believe wellbeing embraces the entire experience. Indoor and outdoor spaces inspired by nature, the use of all-natural materials, nutrition, and above all, our wellness philosophy are all expressions of our Global Wellbeing.
Sustainability is the integration of planetary and human health. We believe that a guest cannot truly be "well" if their environment is not. We believe in the seamless alignment of eco-friendly practices with thoughtful healing experiences, ensuring your "wellness" doesn't come at the expense of the earth or the community.
People: We deeply value the wellbeing of our team, recognizing that their balance and fulfillment are essential to everything we do. By prioritizing their wellness, we cultivate a culture rooted in authenticity and compassion—one that naturally extends to every guest experience.
Our Environment
We care about the wellbeing of our guests and our environment, which is why we've taken great care in designing spaces to promote a nurturing overall experience. Our beds are hand-made from reclaimed wood. Our linens and towels are all certified organic with absolutely no harmful toxins or chemicals. Our entire facility is maintained with nontoxic cleaning products. Solar rheostats control exterior nighttime lighting. All lighting is low-wattage to conserve energy and prevent dark-sky light pollution. All plantings are watered with the overflow of mineral waters from the pools.
